 Mom My Mom's birthday was yesterday....she would have been 101 years old. She was only 54 when she died unexpectedly. I am the youngest of 3 and my Mom was 30 when I was born so as a young mother of a 4 year old I was devastated when she died. My Mom was an amazing woman full of life, beauty, humor and love plus she was a great artist. I say all of this because I didn't get experience an elderly parent...(Dad was only 67) and I have always felt very cheated. Mom and I were extremely close and I talked to her at least once a day so her sudden absence left a large hole in my heart. I see posts on Facebook all the time of people taking their Mom to lunch or shopping. I am not sure they even know how blessed they are (I am sooooo jealous). A couple of days ago on a "Mom's" group, one of the younger moms posted an inquiry about what others recommended when it came to moving her 75 year old mom  in with the family....she said they would probably have to buy a bigger ho...

  Tall Blonds For the last couple of weeks my husband Dave has been gone to Michigan on business and I have been challenging myself with a month of lions. August has the horoscope sign of the lion but I am not doing it because of that, I am equating my lions with a month of the Lion of God.  Now, what does this have to do with tall blonds? She is tall and blond so I thought I would title the blog today after her. I missed Dave terribly but we really had fun...... She and I have both always loved giraffes because they too are tall and blond.
