In The Pink

I saw a video the other day of a baby flamingo learning to stand on one leg. He had impossibly big feet on the south end of those little legs but that didn't stop him from trying to gain his balance on just one foot. Do you think it is something they are programed before birth to do or do you think it is learned behavior from watching the other flamingos? Well regardless of how they come by it, they do it really gracefully and well.....which brings me to the crux of my post today. We don't have to be pre-set to succeed in our  endeavors. If your dad is a doctor, that doesn't mean you will be or even want to be one. And if your mom is an electrician, it doesn't mean you won't be a doctor if that is your heart desire. The only thing that will limit us is ourselves. Dr. Ben Carson was raised by a single mom on a very limited income who parked her kids in a public library during the summertime. They not only excelled, Dr. Carson became a famous Pediatric Neurosurgeon as well as the 17th Secretary of  Housing and Urban Development and he was awarded the Presidential Metal of Freedom. I just love success stories..... they can be our stories.....each one of us.💗

  1. These are beautiful flamingos Jennifer. We certainly do have a beautiful success story, we once were lost and now we're found. Thank you Jesus. I look forward to being up close to God's creations and learn so much more. I love success stories and Dr. Carson has a great one and a gift to humanity.
